For all authors wanting me to review their books, please check out my review policy before submitting a review request.

At this time, I am not accepting any new review requests until I get through my review TBR. Thank you for your understanding.

  1. Hi Kayla

I'm hoping you will make an exception to your 'no ebook' policy. My work is currently only 3 chapters live as it is being posted chapter by chapter for free. A new chapter goes online every week and it's the first 3 or so chapters (whatever is live when you get a chance to read it) that I would love you to review.

If you enjoy it could you post your review and a link on your facebook page?

In return I can post a link to you on the blog hop/networking page on my blog :)

Just message me to let me know what you think.

    Much appreciated.

Rated M for some adult themes (including romance) YA fantasy.

    Here's a sample:

He kneels in front of me, holding onto my foot and fixing the irons around my ankles, one at a time, with complete indifference and practiced skill.

Looking up he catches my gaze then quickly looks away. He leans around me untying the rope that’s binding my wrists.

I hold my breath. He is a slave trader, he works with Zakkai. He’s going to hurt me. He couldn’t possibly have known I was hiding in the tree’s and I don’t want to think about the possibility that he helped the girls escape. It’s too contradictory an idea. This man as my enemy makes it easy for me to trick and deceive him. He can’t be anything more than my captor or this while situation gets confusing.

But with continued indifference he brings my hands in front of me and fastens the manacles. My muscles complain, they’re stiff and the movement twinges fire and a shredding sensation through my shoulder. I bite into my lip. Breathing in three sharp gasps and holding my breath. I refuse to cry out.

  2. I'm sorry, but if I had made an exception for you, I would have to make an exception or everyone. It just wouldn't be fair to the rest of the authors/publishers.

  3. Hi Kayla
I'm Canadian and have two books out in print, Missing Clayton, a woman's suspense and a paranormal YA, Ghostly Justice. What city do you live in? I'm wondering if you were interested in reviewing, where I would have to send the book or books.

  5. Kayla,
My debut historical romance, CHERISH THE KNIGHT, released last month. I'm humbled and thrilled with the amazon.com reviews, but I enjoyed your KISSING SHAKESPEARE review--taught and love classical lit!
See historical and/or romance aren't your preferences, but thought I'd take a shot :-) Will send this to your email as well.
    Thanks,
    Diane O'Key

  6. Kayla, I work as an assistant to author Jacqueline Rhoades and we'd love you to do a review of her latest Wolvers Series release, Wolver's Gold. It's paranormal romance with a wonderful story and characters. Please tell me how to submit a copy for review.

    Thanks,
    Georgianna

  7. Dear Kayla,
I understand you don't accept e-books but do you accept a PDF file if the book is going to be published (print on demand) with Create Space on Amazon?
    Thanks,
    Corinne
