Ukus in My Hair by Michael Peacock
Synopsis:
Written and Illustrated by 10 year old Michael, this story of Pirate Fleas, adults and imagination can twist a smile out of anyone.
My Thoughts:
I read this book for the 2012 ebook challenge. Ukus in My Hair is a cute childrens' Hawaiian story about lice, written by a ten year old boy. It uses a little bit of Hawaiian slang, but is still very easy to read and follow along. The illustrations are adorable, also drawn by the ten yea r old. The characters are very creative and witty. The pirates made me chuckle, and had a lot of fun sarcasm. I would recommend this book to any young readers, or parents looking for a fun read with their child.
I give Ukus in My Hair: 4/5.
