My shelf candy for this week is:
Soul Born by Kevin James Breaux
Why I Picked It:
I think this cover is absolutely beautiful. What's not to love about it? I like how the bright purple glow highlights the dark purple of the cover. I also love the color of the hair on the girl on the cover. This book is in my review pile, and based on the cover, I can't wait to read it.
What do you think of the cover? What's your shelf candy for this week? Leave me a comment and let me know.
I like the amount of detail in this cover! The little mark on her collarbone, the tattoo/mark on her collar bone, the gash on her cheek bone, the earrings...it makes the girl seem more real instead of just a drawn on character. Kind of makes you wonder how she got all cut up! I am not a huge fan of that typeface though for the title.
ReplyDeleteI chose Callum & Harper as my shelf candy this week! Feel free to check it out and I am also a new follower! :D

I'm glad you like the cover. Everyone says the zombie button scares them. If you click it, it leads to a giveaway on another blogger's blog. I've never read Callum & Harper, but I must admit, I'm not a big fan of the cover. Thank you for following me. I am now following you as well.

Thanks! The cover for Timeless is beautiful as well.
DeleteSo cool! The color of the glowing arc is my favorite shade of purple. The whole cover is so intriguing! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love purple covers, and anything bright, so the cover was a perfect match for me.
DeleteThanks all! Dan Dos Santos painted the cover. You might know him for his work with Patrica Briggs books. I designed the layout. So I picked the font, and layed out the words...etc. Have you seen the sequel? Its call Blood Divided and the cover glows too. I have a large copy of the cover on canvas in my office... its beautiful. You can see it at my site. www.kevinbreaux.com. I will be giving away some more copies of Soul Born soon, so keep an watch. And yes, Opal is a kick-ass hero. And... Opal has killed for what she believes are all the right reasons...
