Synopsis:

Sam and the Sugar Bug teaches children to brush their teeth in a fun and interesting way. With interactive narration and beautiful color photos, the book promotes reading skills as well as teaching them the importance of brushing. Now available on ibooks. 

My Thoughts:

Sam and the Sugar Bug is a great educational children's book. It teaches kids the dangers of not brushing their teeth. After not brushing his teeth properly, Sam's mouth gets invaded by a sugar bug named Randy. Randy and his friends have fun in Sam's mouth and cause Sam pain. Finally, Sam has to go to the dentist. The dentist fills in Sam's cavities, and gets Randy and his friends out of Sam's mouth. The illustrations in the book are very well drawn. The iluustration of Randy's house sitting on Sam's tooth is cute, as well as the one of Randy and his friends partying. This book is a very well written tool to teach children about brushing teeth. Parents and children can read it together, then discuss it afterwards.
