- Pirates by Celia Rees
- Blood Persuasion by Janet Mullany (I bought the first book in this series earlier in the week at Dollar Tree.)
- A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray (I've heard amazing things about this series, and about Libba Bray's books in general. I own a bunch, but I haven't read any yet.)
- Rebel Angels by Libba Bray (Sequel to the book mentioned above.)
- The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult (I read My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult and loved it.)
- The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood (I have wanted to read this for so long.)
- Last Night at Chateau Marmont by Lauren Weisberger (I've read all of her other books and loved them. I didn't even know this one existed until today.)
- Matched by Ally Condie (I've already read this book, and I love it. I HATE the other two books in the trilogy though, but that's a rant and rave for another time.)
- The Sword and the Miracle by Melvin Bragg (I've been in the mood to read a lot of fantasy lately, and this looks like a great epic fantasy.)
- Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult (As stated before, I love Jodi Picoult. Also, this comes with a cd you listen to while you read the book, which I thought was really cool.)
- Love Rosie by Cecelia Ahern (This has been getting a lot of buzz on Booktube lately. Also, I believe it was recently turned into a movie.)
- The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides (This is a modern classic, which I feel like I should read more of.)
- Falling Angels by Tracy Chevalier (I loved The Girl With the Pearl Earring, so I wanted to read more by the author.)
- The Lady and the Unicorn by Tracy Chevalier
- King Arthur by Norma Lorre Goodrich (I love the Arthurian legend, and want to learn as much about it as possible.)
- L. Ron Hubbard Presents the Best of the Writers of the Future (I got this for my husband.)
- Gabe's Triumph by P.M. Smith (I've already read this. You can read my review here.)
- Marley and Me by John Grogan (Normally I wouldn't have bought this, but the hardcover was so beautiful I couldn't resist.)
- City of Night by Dean Koontz (I bought the third book at Goodwill the other day. Now, I just need to find the first one, and I can marathon this series.)
- A Princess of Roumania by Paul Park (I know nothing about this, other than it's fantasy and it has a pretty cover.)
- Trail of the Black Wyrm by Chris Pierson (I've been trying to collect the Dragonlance Chronicles books ever since I was a kid. I have a lot of them now, but I didn't have this one.)
- Sons of Entropy by Christopher Golden and Nancy Holder (I finally have this whole trilogy, so I can marathon it now.)
- Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (This also goes along with my need to read more classics.)
- The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama (This will help me in my non-fiction part off the 2015 reading challenge.)
- The Willow Files by Yvonne Navarro (What can I say? I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer.)
- Lucinda, Darkly by Sunny (This looked like a vampire book, and a badass one at that.)
- The Wildflowers by V.C. Andrews (I've always wanted to try a V.C. Andrews book, but I don't know which one to start with. I decided to try this since it's a bind up of the first four books.)
- Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
- Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause (I've heard great things about this.)
- Manta's Gift by Timothy Zahn (For my husband.)
- First Contract by Greg Costikyan (Also for my husband.)
- Wrath of Ashar by Angus Wells (For my husband.)
- Exodus by Mel Odom (For my husband.)
- Cut by Emerald by Dana Kramer (For my husband.)
- Come Hell or High Water by Michelle Bardsley (I didn't realize that this was the middle of a series. It looks like a fun paranormal romance.)
- Real Vampires Get Lucky by Gerry Bartlett (I also didn't realize that this was the middle of a series. It looks like a lot of fun.)
- Wicked by Gregory Maguire (I already own several copies of this, but with this one, the edges of the pages are green. I couldn't resist.)
- Meg by Steve Alten (This looks like it's going to be hilariously bad, like a B horror movie in book form. I can't wait to read it.)
- Halo: The Fall of Reach by Eric S. Nylund (For my husband.)
Whoo, that ends this book haul. There are some more that I got at the book sale that I already put on my shelves. I will make sure to include them in my "In My Mailbox" on Sunday. Are you interested in reading any of these? Have you already read some? Either way, please leave me a comment and let me know what you thought, or why you find them interesting. My friend is doing this book sale once every couple of weeks throughout the spring and summer with new books added every time, so I will probably be doing these hauls several times over the summer. If you live in the Northwest Ohio area, make sure to check out his book sale if you can, it's definitely worth it. Also, if you would like to see more posts like this on my blog, please let me know.
Ok of these I have A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray, Rebel Angels by Libba Bray, Matched by Ally Condie, Blood and Chocolate and thats it.
ReplyDeleteHave you read any of those? If so, what did you think? I've read Matched, but I haven't read the others.
DeleteThe only ones of these I've read are the two by Jodi Picoult and I really enjoyed them. It's too bad that your friend's bookstore is closing, but at least you can help him by knowing that some of the books are going to someone who will really enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's upsetting because my husband and I used to buy a majority of our books from there, but he only had a few regular customers other than us.
